41e LIBER-conferentie 'Mobilising the knowledge economy for Europe'
De 41e LIBER-conferentie wordt gehouden van 27 t.e.m. 30 juni in Tartu, Estland. Het thema is 'Mobilising the knowledge economy for Europe'. Op het programma staan prominente sprekers als Jaak Aaviksoo, David Nicholas, Ellyssa Kroski, Kurt De Belder en John Houghton.
Het exacte programma is nog niet bekend. De programmacommissie heeft gevraagd om papers over (onder andere) de volgende onderwerpen:
- Shared services/national and international collaboration, cloud services, cloud computing
- End-user needs, end-user feedback, end-user surveys
- Primary research data
- New skills for library staff
- New (mobile) devices
- Economic crisis: how libraries have managed, success stories; ideas for cost reductions
- New models for academic publishing; alternative publication methods to journals and books
- Linked data, open bibliographic data
- Open Access
- Intellectual property rights
- Digital preservation: ensuring the future accessibility and usability of knowledge
Het aantal deelnemers is beperkt tot 400 en wie er zeker bij wil zijn schrijft zich best op tijd in.
