e-Infrastructures for Cultural Heritage is the first of three international conferences taking place in the course of the DC-NET project. Besides providing a presentation of the project and its preliminary results, the conference aims to open a debate on the possibilities e-infrastructures offer for services and research in the cultural heritage sector and on how the two communities (e-infrastructure operators and cultural heritage institutions) could better cooperate in the future not forgetting the necessary strong involvement of the research community.

Vlaamse Erfgoedbibliotheek (Flanders Heritage Library) is entering a new phase. Last year, we worked hard to shape this network organisation for heritage libraries in Flanders and Brussels. Now we are ready to present our plans. This is why we invite everybody to the festive presentation of Vlaamse Erfgoedbibliotheek, held in the presence of Mrs Joke Schauvliege, Flemish minister for Culture. The event will take place on Friday, 11 June, at 17:00 hours in the historical Nottebohm hall of the Heritage Library Hendrik Consciene.
