e-Infrastructures for Cultural Heritage is the first of three international conferences taking place in the course of the DC-NET project. Besides providing a presentation of the project and its preliminary results, the conference aims to open a debate on the possibilities e-infrastructures offer for services and research in the cultural heritage sector and on how the two communities (e-infrastructure operators and cultural heritage institutions) could better cooperate in the future not forgetting the necessary strong involvement of the research community.
